Link Building Tips
March 7th, 2008Why not see if there are people in your industry willing to link to you? It sounds really obvious, chances are though that a supplier you use could well want to link to you but you simply haven’t asked them. Try and develop an established network of people that are not competitive but that may offer you a website link. Implementing a good affiliate program within your site will not only give additional exposure but is likely to attract more links for you.
Buying Links
February 19th, 2008Is buying links a good idea? Well it certainly does not look like it if Google finds out. All websites can have links but if suddenly a website that once had only a handful of links then gains about 100 Google may start to wonder why. There are lots of sites on the internet for buying links, but they often make huge promises on PR. Ultimately if search engines don’t want you to buy links, the answer is probably very simple, Don’t.
Lots of link selling agencies also claim to have highly topical sites to obtain links on or indeed domains that are well established, don’t belive all that you read.
Link Exchanges
February 11th, 2008When gaining links from other websites you need to be careful that the site linked to is not from a bad neighbourhood. Website links need to be from relevant sites that share the same interest as you and of course same topic area. Obtaining a link from a site that links to so many other irrelvant sites will do your website no good at all.
Try to gain links from a website that has already established some authority and has a good page rank. Often this website may well be your competitor, don’t let that put you off. Why not ask them for a link in any case ?
